Dog Park Stories

As the weather heats up the dogs, mainly Roxy, are less likely to run like crazy at the park.

We have Lulu Lemon for a few days. Of course we had to go to the dog park yesterday. Roxy and Lulu are stealth at runny for the ball. Mister tried hard to keep up....he seemed a little taken with Lulu but she kept him at bay with her Jack Russell snarl.

Today we are going to be 'dog sitting' Renna, a guide dog that belongs to a student at Fox.

Renna's owner is going to take the GRE first thing Wednesday morning so he will bring her to my office this afternoon.

This will be a good test run as we also have her this weekend while Curtis goes 'rock climbing.'

Yes, he's pretty much crazy. :)

More to come.

Yesterday we strolled over to the dog park in between the showers and my lunch break. No one was in the small dog area and Roxy wanted to fetch!

After a few minutes a lady who had a great looking terrier mix asked if they could come play with my dogs. Of course! Roxy and Walter hit it off and Walter got Roxy and Murphy to chase him!

Walter, according to his owner, is a Boxer / Jack Russell. I wished I had my camera. He had the markings of a wire haired Boston Terrier. But his height was taller than Roxy. Anyway, he made our last 10 minutes a lot of fun.

Thursday, March 10

The rain stopped and a bit of sun followed us all the way to the park. Despite the sunshine I was surprised that there weren't more people giving their dogs a little romp in the park.

An older lady was there today, someone I hadn't met before. She was a know-it-all. Note to self....annoying.

But all in all it was a good day. Met a couple of new people and dogs, Roxy ran a lot and all the dogs remembered the trick we learned - jumping on the log!

Tuesday - March 8
I met Jazzie and her mom, Sherry. Sherry works at Argyle in Dundee. I told her I loved Black Brut. We talked about teaching dogs new things and ideas for classes.

I told her about Pawsitive-Performance, a dog training business.

I hope I see Sherry and Jazzie again.
